Viva England

Segnalo this fantastic article in The Guardian , authoritative English newspaper, the Champions League final. I think it has to reflect on how we are seen abroad, and especially about what image we give to those who are looking at us from abroad.

The article begins with:

Ten months ago, "When an appeal court Reduced Milan's 2005 / 6 penalty points for Their Involvement in the Calciopoli scandal, sections of the Italian press corps scandalized Declared Themselves That Should Be allowed the Rossoneri into this year's Champions League. Oddly enough, nobody Seems to be protesting on the Italian back pages this morning after Milan won the tournament for a seventh time with last night's 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

words: ten months ago, all cried shame on the events of Calciopoli but now it seems that no one will remember. He concludes with:

A summer of shame whitewashed into a victory for upstanding characters and "true" Causes in just ten months. Only in Italy.

Only in Italy ...

The problem 'that this does not happen only in football ... the Italians are a people of short memory.
Another example? At intervals of time regular we find the opposition leader who says "if we win the administrative the government must go " and the prime minister's office says "the administrative have nothing to do with the government in office " .. . emereti but we are all idiots or what? Things, in my humble opinion, are so ':
  • or we are all idiots that we all drink
  • or we all have short memories
  • or not it is convenient to remember all the things I think a nice
mix of the three is the recipe for Italian Style ... Long live England!
